If a wire is stretched to double of its length, what will be the strain? Longitudinal Strain is ratio of change in length to original length. Wire is stretched to double it's original length. Hence change in length = 2×L - L (where L is original length. ). hope it helps you please mark me brainlist...

longitudinal strain :=
change in length/original length
If L be the original length and if stretched to double of its length change in length =L
sonthe strain is 1
