According to basic proportionality theorem we get
AB/DB = AC/AE
4/7 = 6.6/AE
4/7 × 6.6 = AE
AE = 4/46.2
multiplying both numerator and denominator by 10 we get,
= 40/462
= then divding both by 2 we get,
= 20/231
AE = 0.086
This only applicable when DE is parallel to BC.
