If alpha and beta are the roots of X²+3x-4 then find the value of 1 by alpha,1 by beta and2) alpha²,beta²

Answer:

x²+3x-4

=x²+4x-x-4

=x(x+4)-1(x+4)

=(x+4) (x-1)

either (x+4)=0 ,then x=-4

or, (x-1) =0,then x =1

so the value of alpha & beta are -4,1 respectively.

1) 1/alpha = -1/4

1/beta = 1/1 =1

2) alpha²=(-4)²=16

beta²=(1)²=1
