HELLO DEAR,

6X² + X - 2 = 0

where,

a = 6

b = 1

c = (-2)

now,

we know that:-

α * β = c/a

α + β = -b/a = 1/6

now on squaring both side,

we get,

α² + β² + 2αβ = 1/36

α² + β² = 1/36 - 2(-2/6)

α² + β² = 1/36 + 2/3

α² + β² = (3 + 72)/108

α² + β² = 75/108

α² + β² = 25/36

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
