2 {x}^{2}  + 5x + k

a = 2 , b = 5, c = k

( \alpha  +  \beta ) {}^{2}  -  \alpha  \beta  = 24

 \alpha  +  \beta  =  - 5 \div 2

 \alpha  \beta  = k \div 2

On putting value

( - 5 \div 2) {}^{2}  - k \div 2 = 24

- k / 2 = 24 - 25 / 4

-k / 2 = (96 - 25) / 4

- k / 2 = 71 / 4

k = -71 / 2
