Apply the formula for area of quadrant:

\rm\frac{\theta}{360} × \pi R^2 = 38.5

\rm\frac{90}{360} × \pi R^2 = 38.5

\rm\frac{1}{4} × \pi R^2 = 38.5

\pi R^2 = 38.5 × 4

\frac{22}{7} R^2 = 154

R^2 = \frac{154 × 7}{22}

R² = 49

R = √49

R = 7 cm

So, Diameter = 2R = 2×7cm = 14cm
