We have young's modulus as
Y= FL/A∆l
Thus young's modulus is proportional to the force applied the length of the wire and inversely proportional to the area of the wire and change in length.
So as the Area of the wire increases the young's modulus decreases ( Y is inversely proportional to the Area) .
So young's modulus of elasticity decreases when area of the wire increases.
