ayan 1 day work= 1/4*1/3=1/12
Rahul 1 day work= 1/6*1/4=1/24
ayan and rahul wages ratio= 1/12:1/24= 2:1
ayan earning= 2*180/3= 120

Answer:

Ayan will get 120 rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, Ayan can do one-fourth of a work in 3 days,

⇒ For him, 1/4th work = 3 days,

So, Days taken by him to complete the work alone = 4 × 3 = 12 days,

⇒ His one day work = 1/12,

Now,  Rahul can do one-sixth of a same work in 4 days,

⇒ For him, 1/6th work = 4 days,

So, Days taken by him to complete the work alone = 6 × 4 = 24 days,

⇒ His one day work = 1/24,

Ratio of their one day work = 1/12 : 1/24 = 2 : 1,

Ratio of their wages = 2 : 1 ( Because, their one day ∝ their wages )

Let, wages of ayan = 2x and wages of Rahul = x

Thus, the total amount they get = 2x + x = 3x

According to the question,

3x = 180 ⇒ x = 60

Hence, the amount gotten by Ayan = 2x = 2 × 60 = 120
