plants also do respiration . they take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide ..but at day time they perform photosynthesis and they also perform respiration ...so the Carbon dioxide released during respiration is used in the process of photosynthesis..in night time as the sunlight is absent ..the process of photosynthesis is stopped so the Carbon dioxide released during respiration is not used
