I think it's 0 as cos theta is 90degrees

The dot product E1 and E2 that are electric field at axial point and equatorial point of an electric dipole is 0 (zero).

  • The angle between the direction of the  electric field at axial point and equatorial point is 90°.
  • A.B = A*B*Cosθ
  • Cosθ  = 0 when θ = 90°
  • Thus, dot product of E1 an E2 will be 0 (zero).
