If earth attracts moon why it not go towards moon.

According to the newtons law of motion every object attracts other object with a force . But in case of earth and moon this movement is not able to seen as earth is a very large object .

Earth attracts moon and moon also attracts earth. In the universe everything attracts the other thing based on its Gravitational force.

Gravitational force depends upon the mass of the object. Higher the mass greater the Gravitational force.


Earth attracts moon and moon also attracts earth and sun attracts earth.

Since earth's mass is 81 times higher than moon therefore it's Gravitational force is more than moon.

That's the reason that earth doesn't go towards moon.
