If eastern ghat is replace with western ghat then evergreen forest will be affected. That are subtropical and tropical broadleaf forests.

Explanation:

  • The western ghats  is a mountain range that cover an area of 140,000 km sq, they lie parallel to the western coasts and rise at an elevation of 2,695 meters.
  • If they are replaced by the eastern ghats then there will be a change in geology and climate of western coasts, as rivers that flows to east will flow to change their courses. The orographic effect will also get affected that will affect the rainfall patterns.
  • This will impact the biodiversity of the region, the deciduous forest will be affected and the area will become dry.  Affecting the species diversity also.
