The Hindu Code Bill was a Bill passed by the Government which improved the status of the Hindus and also enriched freedom of women along with other liberal reforms.

A lot of reforms were proposed by the Bill including :

(i) Dowry system .

(ii) Right to property .

(iii) Freedom of movement .

(iv) Marriage Acts .

If Hindu Code Bill was not passed then these would have been the consequences :

(i) The society would have been backward.

(ii) Position of women would have been low .

(iii) It would have led to a lot of disputes relating to property .

(iv) There would have been unity between women and men .

(v) The girl child would not have received the property.

(vi) Women could not enjoy equal rights .

(vii) The country would have remained under-developed in several aspects.
