In the case of F1 = 3i, magnitude is 3, and it is in X direction. This force can be said as the position vector of the point (3, 0, 0).

In the case of F2 = -2k, the magnitude is 2. Here the negative sign deals with the direction, and the magnitude is always non - negative, so magnitude can't be -2.

As we said, the negative sign shows that the force is in the opposite direction than the original. Hence this vector is in Z' direction. This is the position vector of the point (0, 0, -2).
