Explanation:

when the kinetic energy increased by 300%

NEW KINETIC ENERGY WILL BE,

K'=K+300K

K'=K+3K

K'=4K

We know that K.E. K = p²/2m (m IS THE MASS OF THE OBJECT)

Therefore, eq. (i) become

p'2/2m=4 p²/2m

p'2=4p²

p'√4p²

p'=2p(ii)

% CHANGE IN MOMENTUM= p'-p/p×100%

2P-P/P×100%=100%
