Answer:

28 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangle = L

Breadth of rectangle = B

According to question

L = 3B - 5 ....(1)

and

Perimeter = 22 metre

2(L + B) = 22

From equation (1)

2(3B - 5 + B) = 22

2(4B - 5) = 22

4B - 5 = 22/2

4B - 5 = 11

4B = 16

B = 16/4

B = 4 m

If B = 4 m then from equation (1)

L = 3B - 5

= (3 × 4) - 5

= 12 - 5

= 7 m

Area of rectangle

A = LB

= 7 m × 4 m

= 28 m²
