Hi ,

I think there is an error in the

question.

It may be like this.

If log 75 = y , log 25 = x then find

log 3 in terms of x and y.

Now ,

log 25 = x ---- ( 1 )

log 75 = y ----( 2 )

log ( 25 × 3 ) = y

log 25 + log 3 = y

*************************************†

By Logarithmic rules :

log ab = log a + log b

****************************************

x + log 3 = y [ from ( 1 ) ]

log 3 = y - x

I hope this helps you.

Hey there!

Given,

log25 = x

log5² = x

2log5 = x

log5 = x/2

Now,

log 75 = y.

x + log 3 = y

log 3 = y - x

log2 = log(10/5 )

log2 = log10 - log5

log2 = 1 - x/2 + 0y

Hope helped!
