WE KNOW THAT SP/CP IS THE PROFIT or LOSS RATIO.

(While solving all I will dealing is ratios)we know that

Loss=cost price(CP) - selling price(sp)

According to question

CP-SP = 1/3 SP

CP=1/3 SP + SP

3CP= 4SP.

SP/CP= 3/4 which means there is a loss of 1 unit on every 4 unit.

So percentage loss is 1/4 *100

Which is 25% .
