How is it possible...a pair of. Character means 2 chromosomes...

If Mandel could have studied 7 pair of character with 12 chromosomes then he should have learnt maths first before making up the study of evolution..

Answer:

If Mendel might have studied 7 pairs of characters in a plant with 12 chromosomes instead of 14 then nothing difference occurs.

Explanation:

Mendel worked on dominance of physical traits but not on the number of chromosomes.

His experiments were not related to the linkage in chromosomes.

So no differences in his results occur.
