P(x)=ax³-x²+x+4
P(-1)=0
Therefore
A(-1)³-(-1)²+(-1)+4=0
-a-1-1+4=0
-a-2+4=0
-a-2=0
A+2=0
A=-2
Hope it helps....

Hey,
Here is your answer.
☆ P(x) = a (x)^3 - (x)^2 + (x) + 4
☆ If -1 is the zero of the polynomial.
x = -1, we get 0
☆P (-1) = a (-1)^3 - (-1)^2 + (-1 ) + 4
a × -1 - 1 + (-1) + 4 = 0
a×1 = 0
a = 0/1 = 0
☆ Check the answer.:
0 × (-1)^3 - (-1)^2+ (-1) + 4 = 0
Hope it helps..
