Given polynomial: 3x²+8x+k

Given that one zero is reciprocal of the other.

Let one zero be a
Other zero = 1/a

We know that product of zeroes (of polynomial ax²+bx+c) = c/a

=> a × 1/a = k/3

=> 1 = k/3

=> k = 3

Hence, k = 3

given: polynomial = 3x² + 8x + k

and one zero is the reciprocal of other

let one zero =
 \alpha  \: and \: other \:  =  \frac{1}{ \alpha }

we know product of zeros = c/a
 \alpha  \times  \frac{1}{ \alpha }  =  \frac{k}{3}  \\  \\  \frac{k}{3}  = 1 \\  \\  k = 1 \times 3 = 3

hope it helps you

thanks
