Hi ,

******************************************

If A and B are any two events in S

P( A and B ) = P( A ) P( B/A )

If P( A ) ≠ 0 .

********************************************,

Now ,

It is given that ,

P( A ) = 0.4,

P( B ) = 0.5 ,

P( A and B ) = 0.2

P( B/A ) = P( A and B )/P( A )

= 0.2 / 0.4

= 1/2

Therefore ,

P( B/A ) = 1/2

Option ( a ) is correct.

I hope this helps you.
