Given : p+q√21 = (√7+√3)/(√7-√3)

To Find :    values of p and q

Solution :

(√7+√3)/(√7-√3)

Rationalize the denominator

(√7+√3) (√7+√3) /  (√7-√3) (√7+√3)

use (a + b)² = a² + b²  + 2ab

(a + b)(a - b) = a² - b²

= ( (√7)² + (√3)²  + 2√7√3)/( (√7)² - (√3)²)

= ( 7 + 3 + 2√21)/(7 - 3)

= ( 10 + 2√21)/4

= (5 +  √21)/2

= 5/2  + (1/2)√21

p+q√21

p = 5/2

q = 1/2

values of p and q  5/2 & 1/2
