= p = -8+q ........ (i)

pq = -12 .......... (put here i)

= (-8+q)q = -12

= -8q + q² = -12

= q² -8q + 12 = 0

solve using SHRIDHARACHARYA'S quadratic formula, and you will get

q = (8±16)/2

by solving further you will get the value of q, put it in (i)

and. you will get the value of -q³ same in both the cases it's -224
