in mathematics , set is a very important branch which helps to solve calculus, probability , relation, trigonometry etc...

if r and s are two relation then, r intersection s can be represented as r ∩ s.
∩ => this is intersection symbol. intersection means common terms of two relations.
if here r and s two relations are given then intersection of r and s means common terms of r and s .

Hey there!

----------

As we know, the intersection of two equivalence relations is also an equivalence relation. It is represented as R ∩ S. (∩ symbol indicates intersection)

Now, lets prove it....

Let R and S be two equivalence relations on set A.

∴ R ⊆ A × A and S ⊆ A × A

⇒ R ∩ S ⊆ A × A

⇒ R ∩ S is also a relation on A.

So therefore, if R and S are two relations then R intersection S can be represented as R ∩ S.
