If radii of two concentric circles is 15cm and 17cm, then the length of each chord of one circle which is tangent toother is?

the question is just asking u to find the length of the chord of the larger circle which is tangent to the smaller circle so , the length of the perpendicular ( the radius of the smaller circle)=15cm.and the length of the hypotenuse (the radius of the larger circle)=17cm.so by Pythagoras theorem ,we have the length of the tangent=289-225=64which is the square of 8. so the length is 8×2=16cm.
