Boron is a group 13 element and si is group 14 element.
Now if you dope boron with si,there will be a free electron since the valence electrons of B and si are 3 and 4 respectively. so the presence of a free electron means its a n-type semiconductor.
Now if you go the other way round it will be p-type semiconductor since on electron dificit hole will be created.
so final conclusion
B doped with si n-type semiconductor
si doped with B p-type semucontor
