sin 30° = cos ( θ - 26° )...................(1)

We know that :

sin θ = cos ( 90 - θ ) [ sin θ is an acute angle ]

==> sin 30° = cos ( 90° - 30° )

==> sin 30° = cos 60°

Putting this in (1) we get :

cos 60° = cos ( θ - 26° )

==> θ - 26° = 60°

==> θ = 86°
