Heya !! ☺
tan2A = cot(A-18)
cot(90-2A) = cot(A-18)
90-2A = A-18
90+18 = 2A+A
3A = 108
A = 108/3
=> 36
Hope my ans. is satisfactory.

tan2A=cot90-(A-18)
tan2A=tan108-A
on removing tan from both side we will get:
2A=108-A
3A=108
A=108/3
A=36
