If the absolute temperature of a gas is raised four times, then

  • Kinetic energy will become four times  as average Kinetic energy of gas  is directly proportional to absolute temperature .

  • root mean-square velocity becomes twice.

         since R.M.s= √3kT/m

       if R.M.s =4

         R.m.s =√4

        R.M.s= 2

  • Pressure is directly proportional to square of r.m.s velocity, hence pressure becomes four times
