if the angles of a triangle are X, Y and 40 degree and the difference between the two angles X and Y is 30 degree then find the values of X and Y???

x=55°
y=55°+30°=85°
because by angle sum property of triangle
x +y+40°=180°
and let
y=x+30°
then u will get ans..

Given that x , y & 40° are the angles of a triangle .

 \bold { x + y + 40° = 180°}

since the sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180°

 \implies x+y= 140° _____ (i)

Also ,  x-y = 30° _____ (ii)

On adding eqn. (i) & (ii) , we get

 2x = 170° \\\\\ x = \frac{170}{2} = 85°

On putting x = 85° in eqn. (i) , we get

 \bold {85° + y = 140°} \\\\\ \bold {\implies y=55°}

Hence , the required value of x & y are 85° & 55° respectively .
