Area of an isosceles right angled triangle=32 cm²
Base²/2=32
Base²=64
base=8cm
Since it is isosceles right triangle base=height
Since height and base are equal,Length of
longest altitude is 8cm.
HOPE IT WAS HELPFUL
If it is longest side,then it is hypotenuse whose length is 8√2cm.

let the side be a given:a²/2=32
a²=64
a=8
the length of hypotenuse = √(8²×2)
√128
8√2
8×1.4
7.2
