Given :
Area of circle is 616 cm²

To be found,
Circumference of circle

We know that,
Area of circle = πr² [ in which r is the radius ]

=> 616 = $\frac{22}{7}$×r²

=> 616 ÷ $\frac{22}{7}$ = r²

=> 616 × $\frac{7}{22}$ = r²

=> 196 = r²

=> $\sqrt{196}$ = r

=> 14 = r

so, radius of circle is 14 cm.

Now,
Circumference of circle = 2πr

= 2 × $\frac{22}{7}$ ×14

= $\boxed{88 cm}$

Hence, the circumferenceof the circle is 88 cm.
