I don't know about funaria. But I know about chromosome numbers.. It's as follows, the chromosome number of a species is always constant for somatic cells. It's half in gametes when the organism reproduces securely. Now if funaria is a sexually reproducing being.. Then it's gametes will b haploid.

Chromosome Number:

The chromosome number in organisms varies depending upon whether it is a diploid or a haploid cell. Diploid cells contain two copies of chromosomes, while haploid cells have a single copy.

If the chromosome number in the leaf of a funaria is 20, the chromosome number in the spores would be 10. This is because spores are the haploid stage of the plant.
