Circumference of circle = 44

=> 2 × pi × r = 44

=> 2 × 22 × r / 7 = 44

=> 44r = 44 × 7

=> r = 7

Diagonal of square = Diameter of circle

=> Side × root2 = 7 × 2

=> Side of square = 7 root2

Option ( a ) is correct.

Explanation :

Let side of a square inscribed

in the circle = a

Diameter of the square (d) = √2a

Circumference of the

Circle ( C ) = 44 cm [ given ]

d = C

=> √2 a = 44

=> a = 44/√2
