if the circumference of the base of a cone is 44cm and it's height is 25 cm find the volume of the cone

circumference of base of cone=2πr
44=2×22/7×r
r=1/7

now, volume of cone=1/3πr2h

= 1/3×22/7×1/7×1/7×25
=550/21×49
=550/1029cm3

Given that,

Circumference of the base = 44cm.

Height of the cone = 25cm.

To find,

The volume of the cone.

Solution,

We know that,

Circumference =2 \pi r

⇒ 44 = 2\times \frac{22}{7}\times r.

⇒ r =  \frac{44\times 7}{2\times 22} =  \frac{44\times 7}{44}= 7\ cm.

We know that,

Volume\ of\ cone =  \frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2}h

⇒  \frac{1}{3}\times  \frac{22}{7}\times  7^{2} \times 25

⇒  \frac{1}{3}\times 22 \times 7 \times 25

⇒  \frac{3850}{3} = 1283.3\ cm^{3}


Therefore  the volume of the cone is 1283.3 cm³.
