GivEn:

  • Diagonals of Rhombus = 8cm and 10cm

To Find:

  • Area of the Rhombus?

Formula to be Used:

 \\ \bigstar{\underline{\boxed{\sf\blue{Area_{(Rhombus)} =  \dfrac{1}{2} d_{1} d_{2} }}}} \\

Where as:

  • d¹ = 1st Diagonal
  • d² = 2nd diagonal

Solution:

After substituting Values in Formula;

⟹ ½ × d¹ × d²

⟹ ½ × 8 × 10

40 cm²

Hence,

The area of the Rhombus is 40cm².

Xtra Dose:

  • The Diagonals of a Rhombus bisect each other at right angles.

  • It has a Rotational Symmetry.

  • A Rhombus is type of Parallelogram.
