using PGT in triangle made by diagonal

h=24√2

p=b=x

p²+b²=h²

x²+x²=(24)²(√2)²

2x²=2(24)²

x=24

area of triangle=p×b

=x×x=x²

=24²

=576

Solution :

Let the side of the square = a

Diagonal of the square(d ) = 24√2

Area of the square = d²/2

A = ( 24√2 )²/2

=> A = 576 ---( 1 )

Area of the triangle = A/2

= 576/2

= 288 square units.
