Option (c) is Correct : 4  

Given : LCM of a & 18 = 36  

HCF of a & 18 = 2

The two numbers are a & 18.

As we know that ,

LCM × HCF = First Number × second Number  

36 × 2 = a × 18

72 = 18a  

a = 72/18  = 4  

a = 4  

Hence, the value of a is 4 .
