If the length and breadth of a rectangle are each doubled,by what percent os the area increased?
laxminarayandup4wvmt:
if l=10 & b=20 then area =200sqft now if l=20(doubled) & b=40(doubled) then area=800sqft. so 800/200= 4 times

Let length = l
breadth = b
Area= l*b
Then the dimensions are doubled.
Length = 2l
Breadth = 2b
Area =2l*2b
=4(l*b)
Increase = 3(l*b)
%=3 (l*b)/(l*b) *100
=300%
