Answer:

AREA OF RECTANGLE = L × B

= (x + 2 ) ( x + 1 )

= x² + x + 2x + 2

= x² + 3x + 2

AREA IF RECTANGLE = x² + 3x + 2 cm² ANS

I hope this will help u! :)

Question:

If the length of a rectangle is x+2 and the breadth is x+1. Find the area of Rectangle.

Given:

  • Length of Rectangle= x+2
  • Breadth of Rectangle= x+1

To Find:

  • Area of Rectangle.

Formula to be used:

\sf{Area\: of\: Rectangle=l\times b}

Where,

  • l stands for Length.
  • b stands for Breadth.

Solution:

We are given that length, l and breadth, b of rectangle is (x+2) and (x+1) respectively. Substituting all the values in the formula. We get,

\rightarrow\mathsf{Area\: of\: Rectangle=l\times b}

\rightarrow\mathsf{Area\: of\: Rectangle=(x+2)\times (x+1)}

\rightarrow\mathsf{Area\: of\: Rectangle={x}^{2}+x+2x+2}

\rightarrow\mathsf{Area\: of\: Rectangle={x}^{2}+3x+2}

Hence, the area of Rectangle is \sf{{x}^{2}+3x+2}
