Answer :-

Explanation :-

Given :

Length of the garden = 5 m more than width

Perimeter of the garden = 90 m

To find :

The length of the school garden

Solution :

Let the width be 'x' m

and the length be '(x + 5)' m

We know that,

Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

=> Perimeter = 90 m

=> 2 {x + (x + 5)} = 90

=> 2 {x + x + 5} = 90

=> 2 {2x + 5} = 90

=> 4x + 10 = 90

=> 4x = 90 - 10

=> 4x = 80

=> x = 80/4

=> x = 20

Hence, the value of x is 20

Therefore,

The width => x = 20m

The length => (x + 5) = 20 + 5 = 25m

Answer:

LET THE WIDTH BE X

LENGTH = 5+X

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = 2(L+B)

2( X + 5+ X)=90

2(2X+5)=90

4X+10=90

4X =90-10

4X=80

X=80/4

X=20 CM

SO, WIDTH=20 CM

LENGTH=20+5=25 CM

[ PROOF: 2(20+25)=90

2(45)=90

90=90

HENCE, LHS=RHS]
