v²/2 = KE/m

New mass = m'

m' = 4m

New kinetic energy = KE'

KE' = KE

New velocity = v'

KE' = 1/2m'v'²

KE = 2mv'²

v'² = 1/2 x (KE/m)

But KE/m = v²/2

v'² = 1/2 x v²/2

v'² = v²/4

v' = v / 2

The speed should be halved.
