If the mean of 10 obs. is 20 and if 2 is added to each observation. find the new mean.​

(x1+x2+x3+x4......+X10)/10

=20

(x1+x2+x3+x4......+X10)=200

If 2 is added to every observation

then

[(x1+2)+(x2+2)+(x3+2)+(x4+2).....+(X10+2)]/10

=

[(x1+x2+x3+x4......+X10)

+2×10]/10

=(200+20)/10

=20+2=22 is the answer!!
