If the mean of the numbers x+1,x and x-3 is 7 then mean of x^2,x+4,x+2 is ?

Answer:

mean = sum of observation/ number of observations

7 = x+1+x+x-3/3

21= 4x+1

21-1=4x

20=4x

x= 20/4

x= 5

➡ x^2,x+4,x+2

➡ (5)^2,5+4,5+2

➡ 25,9,7

Their mean :

➡ 25+9+7/3

➡ 41/3

➡ 13.6
