Given :

  • If the measure of two diagonals of a rhombus are 24 cm and 18 cm.

To Find :

  • The perimeter of rhombus = ?

Answer :

Finding Perimeter of a Rhombus :

  • Given the lengths of the two diagonals of a rhombus, let's call them 'x' and 'y',  the perimeter of the rhombus is given by:

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 2√(x)² + (y)²

  • The values of the diagonals provided by the question are x = 24 cm, y = 18 cm, thus the perimeter is:

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 2√(24)² + (18)²

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 2√576 + 324

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 2√900

Taking square root of 900 :

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 2 × 30

Perimeter of rhombus = 60 cm

  • Hence, the perimeter of rhombus is 60 cm.
