if the measurements of sides of a square are doubled,what happens to the area ?

it's area also 4 times.
because the formula of square is side square.

When side of square gets doubled then its area gets quadrupled (4times)

For eg- Square with side 4 cm has area of 4²=16 cm2 and when its side is doubled(4×2=8cm) its area gays 4 times( 8²=64)where (4×16=64 cm²)
