if the median of the following frequency distribution is 24. find the missing frequency x :
Age Number of persons
0 - 10 5
10 - 20 25
20 - 30 x
30 - 40 18

i think that frequency of x will be 24

shahul2: can you explain it to me ...step by step. on how you got 24 as the answer

reveldater: see the median formual will me (n+1 )÷2 as n is odd. then 24= (5th obs+1)÷2 , then 24= 3rd observation and 3rd observation is x so x=24
