formula for nth term of an ap= a+ (n-1)d

first a.p: a=9 d=-2

second a.p: a=24 d=-3

nth term of first a.p= nth term of second a.p

9 + (n-1)-2 = 24 + (n-1)-3

9 -2n + 2= 24 -3n + 3

9 -2n + 3n= 24 + 3 - 2

9 + n= 25

n = 25-9

∴n= 16
