Heya

Divisibility rule for 11:

The difference between the sum of odd numbered digits and sum of even number digits, taken from right or left, is divisible by 11, then the number is divisible by 11

For example,

2750

Sum of odd numbered digits is 2+5=7

Sum of even numbered digits = 7+0=7

7-7=0

As 0 is divisible by 11, the number 2750 is divisible by 11.

Getting back to the question, the number 7x86038 is exactly divisible by 11

Sum of odd numbered digits is 7+8+0+8 = 23

Sum of even numbered digits is x+6+3 = 9+x

23-(9+x) should be divisible by 11.

23-9-x = 14-x

The least number would be 3

We get 14-3 = 11 which is divisible by 11

So, x is 3

Hope it helps! ^_^

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

digits which are in odd places= 7,8,0,8

their sum = 7+8+0+8 = 23

digits which are in even places = x,6,3

their sum = x+6+3 = X + 9

sum of (Odd - Even) digits = divided by 11

23 - (x+9) = divided by 11

14 - x = divided by 11

so,

         x=3
